CONDO

I have 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, and upstairs condo in the San Diego County area. I haven't done a lot of remodeling yet, but I'm hoping to redo the floors in the living room, dinning room, and hallway to wood floors. I gave the bathroom a face-lift by changing out the vanity. I put mirrors on the dinning room wall and installed a new ceiling fan. I also purchased a new Frig from Sears. I am in the process of scraping off the cottage cheese stuff from the ceilings of a few rooms and making them look similar to the walls texture. My biggest project will come when I remodel the kitchen with new cabinets

I took pictures before I moved in. Most of the walls were dull and bare. I would say that I have transformed my condo into a nice little home.

I took out the old vanity, mirror, and medicine cabinet to put in a linen tower, smaller vanity with drawers, and a bigger medicine cabinet. I have much more room for towels and love the wood look vs. the painted vanity. A very nice face-lift.

I added mirrors to the back wall, new ceiling fan, and a bookshelf that took up most of the left wall. Makes my room brighter and bigger.

I haven't done much in this room. I mainly put a single shelf above my large slider and put some nick knacks on it. A nice personal touch. At least I don't have to worry about height of a tree at Christmas time.

I like this one area the most. I have two small vanities with solid oak counter top and two shelves with a 29-gallon fish tank. I have Nelson Sea Plates and seashells on the shelves. At night, with the light on the tank, gives the living area a nice glow. I have also replaced the hall light to match the ceiling fan in the dinning room.

I am very happy with all the After effects of what I have done to my Condo. I still have a few projects underway that will take time to complete. Like scraping the popcorn stuff from the ceilings. I have done the hallway and the 2nd bedroom so far. I would like to have the dinning room area done next and than I'll apply the new texture. Leaving the master bedroom and vaulted ceiling in the living room. Than I want to change the carpet to wood flooring in the hallway, dinning, and living room areas. I would also like to redo the whole kitchen cabinets and get a new stove. I believe I will be done after that, but I'm sure I'll find something else to do.
Well January brought me my new windows. I cannot believe the difference they make in the tempurature in my condo. It's wonderful. I had them done by Home Glass of Escondido. They did a really good job and I'm glad to have my new windows. I am hoping that I can get my floors done next.
Well, here are some pictures of my new windows. Hope you like them as much as I do.
Second Bedroom before and after.
Here is my new slider. Looking good.
Christmas of 2004 my brother and his friends put in wood floors in my living, dinning room and hallway. They did a great job and I love them. It is easier to keep clean and I don't have to vacuum as much. I have also finished scraping the ceiling in the dinning and living room. So the only room left with popcorn stuff is my master bedroom and walk in closet. I have installed a ceiling fan in the vaulted ceiling in the living room but I still need to hook it up to a power sourse so I can use it. It's sad that it has been up there for a year and a half and I haven't been able to use it. I still need to install the one in the master bedroom and put the one back up in the dinning room because it fell out just before my vacation to Canada in 2006. Still have projects to be done. Changing the porch light out, repainting the patio, putting 220 to the dryer so I can have a real one, and the biggest job for last. Redoing my kitchen cabinets. That will be a big chore.
Well Christmas of 2006 has come and gone and I finally got my 220 ran. My brother and I created a few holes in the ceilings but got it done. I finally got my ceiling fan in the livingroom hooked up to a power source and got an outlet put in for my microwave to go above the stove. Just need to mount it now. I also go my dream washer and dryer since my old stackable one started leaking water this summer. I got a nice Whirlpool front loaders that use special soap. Now my brother and I need to finish working on the big hole in the 2nd bedroom that we are attempting to make an attic.
Well Christmas of 2007 is approaching and my attic is the same and my microwave is still on the counter same as last year. I did get myself a new dishwasher this year and it's a good thing I did. I found out that my sink was leaking and that my dishwasher was causing the counter top to warp on the underside. I also got my ceiling fan in the master bedroom put up after it was sitting in the box for almost 3 years. I just need to patch the walls and that will be done. I also got some wood to add some privacy on my porch. I just need to paint it now so I don't have to look and plan wood. I got the paint, but haven't done it because of the fires, than the heat wave and rain. So the only things I have left on my list is redoing the kitchen and putting windows in my vaulted ceiling area. I'll have to save some money up for both of those. I'm hoping to make some money with Arbonne so I can pay for these. I might put new carpet in the bedrooms, tile in the bathroom, and maybe wood floors in my closet. I'm sure I'll figure something else to improve. Lets see where next year leads me to.
