Happy 2007 everyone. Sorry it's been a while since I've updated my site. I thought I had updated my website for 2007 but see that it isn't here. So maybe I didn't? Anyway, I'm another year older and getting closer to graduating school.
Disneyland on Valentine's Day with Jeremy. We had a great time. It was a little crowded, but what do you expect?
Started with two classes this Spring Semester and dropped down to one because I just couldn't get into Biology with the professor I had. Passed with an A.
Moab, UT was an adventure. Went on a ride down Gemini Bridges. It was fun, but I did get a scrape on my heal from my pedal. Got to see Arches National Park again and saw a different area of Canyonlands National Park. We also went to Dead Horse Point State Park. They all have beautiful views.
Summer school. Taking Criminal Law with Roberts, but we'll see if that happens. I found out that he had a triple bypass while he is on sabatical this Spring to write a book. Many students complain about him as a teacher, but I enjoy his classes and learn a lot from him. I'm hoping he'll be teaching my class this summer. He is in my prayers.
Padres game in June. Looking forward to going to a game. I watch it a bunch at home after work. Well, the game I went to the Padres won the Dodgers. They were loosing at the bottom of the 8th inning and came back in the bottom of the 9th to win. It was a great game.
New work schedule. We are going to try working 4 days and off 3. I'll still have mid week days off, but that will help me with school in the Fall is we get to keep this schedule. It's almost August and they still haven't started this schedule. I got tired of holding my breath.
Went for a mountain bike ride the weekend of my God Daughters Birthday, July 14th and had my first crash at Lake Hodges. Both of my legs got scraped up. They are healing, but starting to bruise on one leg. People have been looking at me weird when I've been at the gym to work out. Summer school is almost over and I cannot wait till it is. It is hard when you go to school 2 nights a week for 3 hours each night. Have tests every night and other things that you have to do for the class too.
I've registered for Fall semester already. I picked a full load, but it all depends on my work schedule and what shift I am on. Hard to believe that summer is almost over. Where did it go? Went to the midnight showing of Harry Potter and I enjoyed it. I didn't care for the people talking behind me and the row we sat in, but I'd go see it again. Can't wait for the book to come out this weekend. I still haven't seen Pirates or the new Disney cartoon, Ratatouee. They both look good, but we'll see when I get to see them. I just found out that Meet the Robinsons comes out in October. I enjoyed that one in the theaters before we left for Moab in April.
I cannot believe that summer is almost over and that Fall semester starts next week. I survived my Summer session and am glad that one is over with. I think it was too much work for a class. Sept will be 3 years at my current job working for the county. I am going to apply for a court clerk with the county this week and see if I can get a normal Mon - Friday job. That would be nice. I could spend time with my boyfriend and have a life again. As of now, I get week days off for my weekends. It kind of sucks when you have a boyfriend on a regular working schedule. I only need one more class to get my 2 year degree. I am taking the class this semester and might graduate in December. Time will tell. Finally saw Pirates at the theatre. I liked it. Cannot wait till it comes out on video. Now I want to Ratatoullee and the Bourne Ultimatum? that is out right now. Meet the Robinsons comes out on video in October I think. I enjoyed that one. Need to get back to working on things around the house. Talk more later.
Hard to believe that September is almost over and the 12/8 schedule at work hasn't gone into action. I guess I shouldn't be too surprised about that. Well, I'm single again and still don't know what really happened between us. I think it was more him than me. Life will go on and I'm sure there is someone out there for me. It's funny. I finally take my personal ad off here by request of my now exboyfriend and than get dumped. Go figure. School is going and I'm sure it will be over before you know it. Lot of busy work for my two classes. Looking forward to my vacation in November, but I'm not too sure what I'll be doing. Don't want to go to the sand pits of Glamis, so I might make a trip to Vegas and see some National Parks near there and take a few hikes and pictures. Not sure what the holidays will have instore for me this year. Went to another ball game on Monday the 17th and will be going again on Thursday. The Padres are hoping to take the lead again and have a shot at the World Series. That would be great if they make it. Need to study for a few tests I have tomorrow.
Well its Halloween and I survived another round of Southern California Wild Fires. This time there were two fires near me. One is still burning north of me. I'd like to thank the fire fighters for all their hard work for getting this fires out. I keep hearing funny stories about how they could have been prevented the first day they started, but people wanted money for use of their plans so we grounded our military planes to help fight the fires. If this is true, I think it is wrong because a lot of people would still have their houses and lives if this was the case. Not to mention that their action are very wrong and greedy if it is true.
Hard to believe the holidays are just around the corner. Took some pictures with me and my God Daughter this month before the fires broke out. They turned out great and she was a great sport for just 27 months old. Its amazing how quickly they grow. I was also introduced to a product called Arbonne. So far I really like everything I have tried and became a consultant and now sell the products. Check them out and let me know if you would like to order anything send me an email. www.arbonne.com They might seem a little expensive, but I'll give you my discounted prices. Checked out a new scent at bath and body works today. Blackberry Amber. I really like their sensual amber scent, but like the blackberry now too. I survived a night of trick or treaters. None. ":O) I think they all went to the mall tonight. There was also an earthquake near the San Fran/Jose area this morning.
Well Christmas is almost here. Less than a week away. I mailed out my cards today and have a few more to send out tomorrow. I'd have to say 2007 has flown by. I will say December has been an interesting month and it isn't over yet either. I don't know if that is good or bad. I had a job interview and got the job. I start next year on the 4th. I cannot wait to start. I got sent home from work because of my dress slacks that I have been wearing for over 2+ years now appear to look like PJ bottoms. Hmm... I just don't understand. I never got a warning that my pants were unacceptable. Go figure. I took finals and I'm still waiting to find out what all of my grades are. I got a B so far. I finally have weekends off once again. That is going to be nice and I can have somewhat of a social life back. Hang out with friends and go places with them on my days off. I went to AZ last month with the Mytels. Visited her mom and did some major shopping. Not to mention driving. We went to a really cool museum, but it was like a zoo too. I'd go back. Just like I'd go visit the Phoenix Zoo again. I have to work the holidays this year, but at least I'll get some overtime and more comp time on the books. All that transfers with me when I go to my new county job. Plus I'll gain a week of vacation. Horah! Well, weekends here I come and I'm looking forward to seeing my friends again. Merry Christmas and Happy 2008. I almost forgot I got to go to Disneyland last week after finals were done. I got to ride on the Nemo ride. It was pretty cool. Different than I thought it would be, but I'd do it again. The cool thing was we went on a Thursday and the wait for the lines was like 10 to 15 minutes on all the rides and only about 40 for Nemo. They did a really cool job with the castle this year. It has icicles on it when the sun goes down and it snows 3 times every night. I'm hoping to go again before Christmas holiday stuff is over. Here are the pictures from my trip to Disneyland.
