My Travels 2002

This year my travels started on a plane ride to Oakland to go to the Mac World Expo in San Francisco. I got to ride the Bart system for the first time. It took me right to down town and only a few blocks from my hotel. Here I got to play with the new I Mac's that were introduced to the public. They are very neat machines that do not take up a lot of space like the PC desktops do. I got to see the new I photo that Mac put out for Mac users only. It is great for someone like me who likes to take pictures. It makes it easy to organize, share, and even order prints on line. Pretty smart and handy while not costing the Mac customer a dime to have. At this show I never realized how much product there is out there for the Mac. I guess you just need to know where to go to get stuff. I was looking to buy a laptop when I went to the Expo and ended up getting myself the new I Book with the combo drive and love it. I can take it everywhere and not miss anything when I travel or house sit for someone. Plus this little thing holds more than my desktop does. I love all the features it has and believe I got my moneys worth.

At the end of January I made a trip to Arizona to visit an old friend and go to a nudist resort I have never been to before. I went to Shangri La and visited Patti Faber who helps run the place and is also an AANR West board member. She gave me a personal tour of the resort and told me what the finish out come of the resort would be when the remodeling was done. I'm looking forward to going back when the weather is warm so I can really enjoy the resort to it's fullest. Also when I was in Arizona, I had a phone interview with Glamour Magazine for Women excepting their bodies in a nude environment. It is to be in the May issue, but I have not heard anything more about it. I guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

In Feb I had a somewhat blind date with a guy that I meet on SingleNudist.com from Massachusetts who just happened to be in California for vacation. We spent the day at Disneyland and California Adventures. We had a great time, but he is back in his hometown. It was a neat date.

March has been a long, quick month. The first weekend of March I got to go to my second nudist resort that I have never been too before, Lupin. It is in San Jose. I went there to go to the first AANR West board meeting and it was an excuse to see a nudist resort. I'd have to say that it is very interesting to find. We got lost going back to our hotel. Also while I was in San Jose area, I got to go to the Apple head quarters where the Mac was built. My travel companion is a total Mac Geek and he really wanted to see the Apple location. It was funny seeing his reaction.

The second weekend of March, Naturally California had their 3rd annual Whale Watching trip out of Oceanside, Ca. You could not have asked for better weather. It was sunny, warm, and a boat full of nudists. After the boat ride was over, about half of the group went to San Onofre Beach and soaked up some sun. It was a great time.

Than the following weekend, I drove out to De Anza Springs Resort for the AANR West convention meeting. As I drove to the desert there was snow on the ground at the 4,000 ft level. It was a pretty sight that Southern California doesn't always get to see. Another nudist resort that has a lot to offer.

In April I am planning on going on a hike from Glen Eden to Mystic Oaks. It is to be about 18-mile hike from one nudist resort to another. It should be a lot of fun. Hope to see you there.

For Easter weekend I went to De Anza Springs Resort to enjoy the sun with some friends and play water volleyball against the home club. A group of us went on a short hike to get a group photo taken of all the Naturally California members who came out for the weekend. A few of us had a potluck dinner and had a great time exchanging jokes and stories. This weekend 4/13 I went on the Mystic Journey Hike from Glen Eden to Mystic Oaks nudist resort. I was so happy when it was over. I was very happy that there were support vehicles to catch a ride when you couldn't walk anymore. I did that a few times near the end. My legs are a little sore, but I did better that I had expected. I would like to do something like this again. It's a challenge, but a wonderful accomplishment when you finish. Next weekend I am hoping to take some family pictures with my Brother and Neice. I still have not decided what I will be doing on my birthday yet. I would like to go to the Lakeside Rodeo and I do know that I'll be going to the KSON country fest with Alan Jackson and a few more performers.

Well, I went to the Lakeside Rodeo the day after a very dull birthday and had a great time. I took a friend who has never been to a Rodeo before. I find them to be a lot of fun. On Sunday April 28th, I went to the KSON Country fest at the Coors Amphitheatre. It was my first time there and I like it much better than the Cox Arena at SDSU. I got to see four country music performers. All were great. I am thinking of going to the next concert on May 29th at the Coors Amphitheatre with kenny Chesney, Jamie O'Neil, Phil Vassar, and Montgomery Gentry, It should be a good show too. I am also thinking of going the Ramona Rodeo mid May. They usually are not as big as the Lakeside Rodeos, but are good.

Sorry it has been a long time since I have updated my sight. I cannot say that I have been traveling anywhere's lately. I have been to amusement/entertainment parks lately. Needless to say, I didn't make it to the Ramona Rodeo in May. I don't remember what I did in May at this moment in time. Oh yes, I remember going to a Wedding a DeAnza Springs for Blair and Claudia. It was a beautiful wedding and I caught the bouqet. Only one problem, no boyfriend to even think about getting engaged too. Next month I plan to attend the first AANR West convention at DeAnza Springs Resort. It should be fun and I have taken the days off to attend.

Well, I drove to DeAnza Resort for AANR Wests first Convention in early August. I had a great time. This years theme was "Grease" the movie. They did a great job. There was dancing, a drive in movie, great food, sports, and this year the JAANR (Junior American Assoc. of Nude Recreation) was part of the convention. It was great to have them there. They put on a talent show and it was great. I myself played water volleyball and came in first place. I also ran for the AANR West Board and was elected for a one year term. So I am looking forward to seeing what I can do to improve AANR West this year.

I am looking forward to September. I will be going to Disneyland and doing a Mickey Pin clue search. It should be interesting since this will be my first time doing one of these. I am also hoping to be taking a date that I have meet from SingleNudist.com web site. It will be his first time to Disneyland.

In November I am looking forward to going to Portland and visiting a high school friend and her family. I haven't seen them since Thanksgiving of 1998. So I think I am do to see how much the children have grown. So I'll be sure to bring some film to take pictures.

Well it's Mid October and I have just got back from a Marketing and Membership meeting at Shangri La. I had a wonderful time and really was able to enjoy the resort this time around. The Bare Buns Cafe has really good food for the price they charge. The food quanity is like eating at Claim Jumpers. A lot of food, but very good. On Sunday Shangri La hosted a car show for the day. They had about 55+ cars there. There was Mustangs, Cobra's, all types of Chevys, (about 10 corvettes ranging in different years). I guess there were all makes and colors there.

Next weekend I am looking forward to going to Sea Worlds Terror of the Deep. They had this last year and it was a lot of fun seeing the different haunted mansions and costumes as people were dressed throughout the park. I'll have to see if they did as good of a job this year.

Well it is hard to believe that this year is almost over. It's November and the last AANR West board meeting has come and gone. I got to go to Sequoians for my first time this year. A very nice small club. I enjoyed my visit very much. The members are friendly, food was great, and the live band made my feet get out of my chair and dance the night away. I had a great time dancing and getting to know the board members more. I hope to visit this club again when I am up in that area.

Sea Worlds Terrors of the Deep was as good as last year. They had things laid out a little different from last year. They had areas that weren't frightening and others that were. I guess it would make it easier for families with young children that scare easy not to be afraid of the park after dark. I thought they did a good job on the haunted houses, but think they could have opened them sooner to get the crowds moving. The halloween themed shows were good. I hope the continue this for next year.

I am getting ready to fly out to Portland, OR today and hope that the weather will be kind while I am there. I am looking forward to visiting my high school friend and her family. It has been about 3 years since we have seen each other last. I'll be there for 4 days and than I'll be home for a little while before heading to Vegas for Thanksgiving. That should be a lot of fun because I always look forward to seeing the holiday decore and shows while I am up there. Don't forget John, I'll be looking forward to running into you and hopefully going to one of your Vegas Bares events if you have any planned.

Well, my trip to Portland was fun. I went to some quilt shops, a horse show, and enjoyed the wonderful rainy weather that showed it's self every day. I was amazed to see how much the girls have grown. We watched movies and played cards. I hope to visit again soon.

I thought I would share with you what my Christmas Tree looked like for the Holidays. It is covered with Disney Ornaments that my big Brother gave to me for Christmas. Hope you like it as much as I did. Happy Holidays.
